LIVING & LEATHER

Policies & Warranty

We want the entire rebinding process to feel clear and straightforward. These policies explain what to expect when you trust us with your Bible.

LL
Every rebind is custom.

Because each Bible is individually made to your specifications, custom rebinding is different from purchasing a standard retail product. Please review your selections carefully before work begins.

01

Custom Order Policy

Every Living & Leather Bible rebind is made individually according to the options selected and confirmed with the customer.

Customers are responsible for reviewing their leather color, liner, ribbon, stamping, engraving, and additional customization choices before work begins.

Small handmade variations may occur from one Bible to another. These variations are part of the nature of handmade leather goods and are not considered defects.

02

Cancellations

If you need to cancel your rebind, please contact us as soon as possible.

A project may generally be cancelled before rebinding work has started. Once leather has been cut, materials have been customized, stamping or engraving has been completed, or work has otherwise begun specifically for your Bible, the order may no longer be eligible for cancellation.

03

Refund Policy

Because Bible rebinds are custom-made services, completed custom work is generally non-refundable.

If there is a confirmed workmanship issue with your completed rebind, please contact us before attempting any repair or modification yourself. We will review the issue and determine the appropriate solution under our workmanship warranty.

Our goal is to make things right.

A workmanship concern does not automatically mean a refund is necessary. Depending on the situation, we may repair, correct, or replace the affected portion of the work.

04

Workmanship Warranty

Living & Leather stands behind the craftsmanship of every Bible rebind we complete.

If you discover a workmanship-related issue within 30 days of receiving your Bible, please contact us with photos and a description of the issue.

Covered workmanship issues may include problems directly related to the construction or installation of the new cover.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear from regular use
  • Scratches, stains, water damage, heat damage, or improper storage
  • Damage caused by dropping, crushing, bending, or misuse
  • Damage to original Bible pages or bindings that existed before the rebind
  • Natural changes in leather caused by age, oils, handling, patina, or sunlight
  • Damage caused by another person attempting to repair, modify, or alter the rebind
05

Leather & Natural Materials

Genuine leather is a natural material. Color, grain, texture, scars, wrinkles, pull-up, and other characteristics may vary from hide to hide and from the examples shown online.

Leather may also darken, soften, develop patina, or change in appearance as it is handled and used.

These natural characteristics are not considered manufacturing defects and are part of what makes each Bible unique.

06

Customer-Supplied Bibles

Customers are responsible for sending the correct Bible to Living & Leather and for removing any personal items they do not want handled during the rebinding process.

Older or heavily used Bibles can contain hidden weaknesses in pages, signatures, glue, paper, or the original binding that may not be visible before disassembly.

We take great care when working with every Bible, but pre-existing deterioration can sometimes become more apparent during the rebinding process.

07

Page & Binding Repairs

Minor repairs may be available for torn pages, loose sections, or other common issues.

Repair work is intended to improve the usability and longevity of the Bible but may not completely restore old or damaged materials to their original condition.

If significant damage is discovered after the Bible is received, we may contact you before completing additional repair work.

08

Shipping Policy

Customers are responsible for securely packaging and shipping their Bible to Living & Leather.

We strongly recommend using a sturdy box and a shipping method that includes tracking. For Bibles with significant monetary or sentimental value, purchasing shipping insurance is also recommended.

Living & Leather cannot control delays, loss, theft, or damage that occurs while a package is in the possession of a shipping carrier.

Once your completed Bible is shipped back to you, tracking information will be provided when available.

09

Turnaround Times

Our typical turnaround is approximately 1–2 weeks after your Bible is received.

Turnaround times are estimates rather than guaranteed completion dates. Large order volumes, extensive repairs, material availability, holidays, or unusually complex customization can occasionally extend the timeframe.

If a significant delay occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate the updated timeline.
